Google has begun testing an interesting feature for YouTube users. Often, when users watch a good video, they use third-party apps like WhatsApp or Telegram to send it to friends. But soon, this will be possible directly from within the YouTube app.

According to the company, a new experiment is underway in the YouTube mobile app, allowing users to share their favorite long videos, shorts, and live streams with friends directly within the app. This feature will provide a similar experience to direct messaging on YouTube.

How to access the new feature?
Only those included in the testing program will be able to use this feature. To use it, users must be over 18 years old and logged into their YouTube channel.

Users in the test group will need to tap the notification bell and select the 'Share' option. They will then receive an invite link, which they can send to a friend. When the other person accepts the invite, they will receive a notification.

Once setup is complete, sharing videos will be extremely easy. Tapping the 'Share' button below the video player will bring up a contact list, allowing you to send videos from there. Users can also long-press on a chat to unsend or delete a message.

Where is the new feature available?
This testing is currently underway in Poland and Ireland. Google hasn't yet clarified when this feature will roll out globally.
