You can send direct messages on YouTube just like WhatsApp, a new option for sharing videos has arrived.
YouTube Direct Messaging: YouTube has rolled out the direct messaging option in more than 30 countries. Now, the need for another app to share videos is eliminated.
YouTube Direct Messaging: Users will now be able to send messages on YouTube, just like WhatsApp. The company previously offered this feature in only two countries, but it's now being rolled out to other countries. This feature offers users a new way to communicate and share videos. It's worth noting that YouTube had a similar feature for a long time, but it was discontinued and is now being revived.
No more apps needed to share videos.
Previously, sharing YouTube videos required users to use other apps, and this process was lengthy. This required copying the video link, pasting it into a messaging app, and then sending it. Now this hassle is over, and users will be able to share videos through YouTube's built-in messaging interface. However, to use this feature, users must be signed in to their YouTube account and at least 18 years of age. The sender will have the option to unsend messages, and the receiver will have the option to receive and reject messages.
Where has this feature been rolled out?
YouTube initially rolled out this feature in Poland and Ireland. Now, it is being rolled out in more than 30 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and Sweden. Till now, it is not known whether YouTube will roll out this feature in other countries including India or not and if this feature is introduced then when will it be launched.
