The social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, is down again. This is the second outage the platform has experienced in the past few days, affecting thousands of users. According to Downdetector, a website that tracks real-time service disruptions, the problems began at 8:26 PM. So far, more than 5,000 users have reported issues with the platform. Reports of the platform's difficulties have come from users in the UK, the US, and major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Visitors are seeing a blank screen.

Users Affected on App and Website
Downdetector data shows that users are experiencing problems with several services:

50 percent of users are experiencing issues with the X mobile app
39 percent are reporting problems with the website
11 percent are experiencing issues with the feed

Frequent Outages Raise Concerns
This latest outage comes just days after a previous one, raising concerns among users about the platform's stability. X has not yet issued an official statement regarding the cause of the outage or when services will be fully restored. X last experienced a brief outage on January 13, when users faced problems accessing the mobile app, website, and server connections. However, those issues were resolved within 15 minutes.

X Imposes Restrictions on Grok
In other news, X has implemented new technical measures to prevent its AI chatbot, Grok, from generating images of real people in sexually suggestive clothing in locations where such content is illegal. This move comes after widespread criticism over the spread of explicit deepfakes created using Grok.

In a post shared on its official safety handle, X stated that these restrictions apply to all users, including paid subscribers. The platform also announced that image generation and image editing features via the Grok account on X are now exclusively available to paid subscribers.
