Elon Musk's troubles appear to be mounting due to Grok AI on the microblogging platform X.  Artificial intelligence was considered a boon, but AI, especially, has become a serious threat to women's safety. The controversy surrounding this AI tool has deepened after Grok AI generated offensive images of women, and Elon Musk is now under scrutiny for its misuse.

According to a Telegraph report, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer asked the media regulator Office of Communications (Ofcom) to consider all options after it emerged that X's AI chatbot, Grok, was generating obscene images.

British Prime Minister's Warning to X
The report states that the British Prime Minister also warned X via phone to remove all obscene content from the platform. He stated that they would take action because such things are completely unacceptable. This warning from the UK Prime Minister comes at a time when thousands of obscene images of women in revealing clothing were created using X's AI Grok.

Number of Users in the UK
The Telegraph, citing sources at 10 Downing Street, reported that the Online Safety Act has full force, including fines of billions of pounds or blocking access to X in the UK. X has approximately 650 million users worldwide, including 20 million (approximately 2 crore) users in the UK.

The report states that before banning X, the regulator would have to follow a legal process (including investigation, preliminary decision, and giving the company a chance to respond). If the company fails to address Ofcom's concerns, the company's site could be banned in Britain.

X's Troubles May Increase in India as Well
Not only in Britain, but X's troubles may also increase in India because the misuse of AI has forced everyone to think about how safe our pictures are on X. RS MP Priyanka Chaturvedi recently wrote a letter to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw expressing concern over the misuse of AI tools to create obscene images of women and appealed to the government to take steps to protect women's rights.
