Apple's focus this time has been on making AI smarter, more useful, and more secure. This is considered to be the final WWDC event for Apple's current CEO, Tim Cook; the company has already announced that John Ternus, the head of hardware engineering, will take the helm starting September 1, 2026. At this event, the company offered a glimpse of upcoming products and software updates while also revealing major plans for the future.

**Siri AI: Smarter Than Ever**
The biggest highlight this time around is the new Siri AI. Apple acknowledged that user expectations have risen significantly in the AI era, prompting a complete upgrade for Siri. Siri will now be a more conversational, context-aware, and useful digital assistant. The company stated that Siri's capabilities have been bolstered using Google Gemini technology.

The new Siri will support visual intelligence, enabling it to comprehend information displayed on the screen. It will no longer be limited to voice commands; it will also be available as a standalone app and will function more effectively across various applications.

Apple emphasized privacy as its top priority throughout this process. The company stated that user data would be used solely to fulfill requests and that privacy would remain fully protected.

**The New Avatar of Apple Intelligence**
Alongside Siri, Apple has significantly updated its AI technology, Apple Intelligence. The system will now deliver a smarter experience across apps like Safari, Messages, Mail, and Phone. Safari will feature AI-based tab management, while password updates will be achievable with a single tap. Meanwhile, the Messages app will offer AI-driven reply suggestions to facilitate easier conversations.

Regarding the Phone app, it will assist users during calls by extracting relevant information from apps like Mail and Messages. Apple stated that it has collaborated with Google and Gemini models to develop new foundation models that will further enhance the capabilities of Apple Intelligence.

New Options for Liquid Glass Design
The Liquid Glass design introduced last year did not appeal to all users. Taking this into account, Apple has decided to give users more control this time around. Users can now adjust the intensity of the Liquid Glass effect to their liking. Additionally, new layered visual effects have been added to app icons and the interface, making the system look more visually appealing than before.

AI Boost for Image Playground
Apple has also upgraded its image generation platform, Image Playground. The company claims it will now deliver faster and superior results compared to the previous version. With these new capabilities, users will be able to utilize AI-generated images across various apps and features. Apple also clarified that images created using Image Playground will not be used to train any AI models.

iOS 27 Rollout
Apple has announced that iOS 27 will be the biggest iOS update to date. According to the company, this update will be available for the iPhone 11 and all subsequent iPhone models. It includes significant performance improvements; Apple claims that images will load 70 percent faster, while AirDrop transfers will be up to 80 percent quicker. Furthermore, CPU scheduling has been optimized, resulting in a smoother experience for multitasking and app switching.
