Women's Day: Every woman should have these 3 safety apps on her mobile, they will get immediate help in times of trouble..
Women's Day 2026: International Women's Day is celebrated every year on March 8th. This day honors the achievements and contributions of women. It also serves as a good opportunity to raise awareness about women's safety and rights. In today's world, mobile phones are not just a means of communication or entertainment; they can also serve as a powerful tool for protection when needed. Keeping women's safety in mind, the government and police have developed several mobile apps. These apps can send immediate alerts for help in case of an emergency. Let's explore three such apps that can be useful in difficult times.
These 3 apps should be on every woman's phone.
Number 1 - 112 India App
The 112 India app was developed by the Union Home Ministry. This app includes an SOS button. If a woman feels threatened, she can press this button to immediately alert emergency services. The app's unique feature is that as soon as an alert is sent, the user's location is directly transmitted to emergency services, allowing for quick assistance. Additionally, an alert can be sent by simply pressing the mobile's power button three times. This app is available in several languages, including Hindi and English.
Number 2 - e-Rakshak App
The e-Rakshak app was launched by the Madhya Pradesh government and police for women's safety. This app offers features like GPS-based tracking and SOS alerts. If a woman needs help, she can contact her nearest police station through this app. Another feature of the e-Rakshak app is that it provides self-defense tutorials and important safety information for women, allowing them to learn how to protect themselves.
Number 3 - Himmat App
The Himmat app was developed by the Delhi Police with women's safety in mind. Pressing the SOS button in this app sends the user's location and vital information directly to the police control room. Furthermore, this app also allows audio and video recordings to be sent to the police if needed. This allows the police to quickly receive information about incidents and facilitate action.
In this way, the proper use of technology can further strengthen women's safety. Having such safety apps on your mobile phone makes it much easier to get help in an emergency. Therefore, every woman should have at least one or two safety apps installed on her phone.
