Testing of a paid subscription model has begun within the app, and notifications for this have begun appearing. This plan will be completely optional, meaning users can opt out if they wish; otherwise, the basic version of WhatsApp will remain free. However, those who subscribe to a premium subscription will gain access to certain features that regular users will not.
