WhatsApp New Update: Meta-owned WhatsApp has introduced a very useful feature for its users. Now, if your call isn't answered, you can leave a voice or video message directly from the call screen. This update is currently available on the App Store for iPhone users and is expected to reach other devices soon.
Send voice messages immediately on missed calls.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the biggest change is that WhatsApp now displays a 'Record voice message' option when a call isn't answered. You can record a short audio message from there, which will automatically be sent to the chat along with the missed call notification. This feature is especially useful when you need to quickly communicate something important and don't want to waste time typing.
Send a video message if you miss a video call
WhatsApp has added a similar feature for video calls. If the other person doesn't answer your video call, you can instantly record a short video message. This makes the conversation more personal because instead of just seeing a missed call, the receiver also receives a visual message explaining why you called.
New Call Tab Design
WhatsApp has also completely redesigned the Calls tab. The new 'Unified Call Hub' puts all call-related activities, such as accessing contacts, managing favorites, or creating call groups, into a single section. From here, you can easily start a one-on-one call or a group call with up to 31 people with a single tap. The new layout makes calling faster and simpler.
Scheduled Call Feature Arrives for the First Time
WhatsApp has added another important feature: call scheduling. You can now schedule a voice or video call for a pre-determined time and date and send a notification for that event in the chat. All participants receive a call alert, ensuring you don't miss important meetings, family conversations, or group discussions.
Update to reach everyone soon
The company is rolling out this update gradually to users worldwide. It will be made available on all devices once performance stabilizes. With the new features, WhatsApp aims to make communication faster, simpler, and more flexible than ever before.
