WhatsApp: WhatsApp's new feature, now all users will be able to upload not just one but two photos, know what it is and how it will work?
WhatsApp continually introduces new features for its users to enhance their chatting experience. Now, the company is rolling out a feature that was previously only available for WhatsApp Business accounts: Cover Photo. Soon, all users of the Meta-owned app will be able to add a cover photo to their profile. This update is currently in development and will be rolled out in beta in the coming weeks.
According to a report by feature tracker WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing a feature on the new version of the Android app that will allow any user to upload a cover photo to their profile. This cover photo will appear at the top of their profile, just like on Facebook and LinkedIn.
Users will be able to select this cover photo from their profile settings. This means you can now better showcase your personality and style with your profile picture.
New Privacy Controls Will Be Available
WhatsApp is also adding a new Privacy Setting with this feature, allowing users to control who can see their cover photo.
Three options will be provided for this:
Everyone - Your cover photo will be visible to everyone, even if they aren't in your contacts.
My Contacts - Only your saved contacts will be able to see your cover photo.
Nobody - Your cover photo will not be visible to anyone.
This setting will be similar to the privacy options for Status and Profile Photo.
When will this feature arrive?
According to reports, this feature is currently in testing on WhatsApp Beta version 2.25.32.2, which is being rolled out to some testers under the Google Play Beta program.
Currently, this feature is not visible even to beta testers, meaning it is still in the early development phase. However, it is expected to be made available to all WhatsApp users in upcoming updates.
