WhatsApp announced on Wednesday that iPhone users will now be able to use the WhatsApp app for Apple Watch. This marks the first time that call notifications, full message reading, and voice message recording and sending will be possible on Apple Watch.

In a blog post, WhatsApp wrote, "This new experience will help you keep track of your chats without having to constantly pick up your iPhone. You'll now be able to read and reply to messages, as well as enjoy several long-requested features."

With the Apple Watch app, you can now:

Read and reply to messages.

Record and send voice messages.

React to messages

View a larger portion of your chat history on-screen.

Images and stickers will appear clearer and sharper.
Meta also noted that all your messages and calls will be end-to-end encrypted. More new features are expected for the Apple Watch in the future.

Who can use it?
To use the WhatsApp Apple Watch app:
Apple Watch Series 4 or later
watchOS 10 or newer
Until now, users have used unofficial methods or workarounds to access WhatsApp on their watch. Now, with the official app, it's easier and more convenient.

WhatsApp and Apple Watch Together
WhatsApp has nearly 3 billion users worldwide, and the Apple Watch remains the best-selling smartwatch. Just a few months before this launch, Meta introduced an iPad app that offers video/audio calls, screen sharing, and camera support.

Snapchat recently launched an Apple Watch app, but it only supports message replies. There's no image or video viewing. Meanwhile, WhatsApp's app comes with more features. With this move, iPhone and Apple Watch users can now control their chatting experience entirely from their wrist.
