Previously, WhatsApp Web was limited to chatting, but now you can make audio and video calls directly from your browser.

There is no need to download a separate app for this. Whether you are using a college computer, an office laptop, or any browser, you can make calls straight from WhatsApp Web.

You will also have access to features such as one-on-one and group calls, screen sharing, reactions, call history, and favorite contacts.

- Switch devices during a call

WhatsApp is introducing a feature that allows you to easily transfer an ongoing call from one device to another.

For instance, if you start a group call on your mobile, you can continue the same call on your laptop or desktop after arriving home without disconnecting.

- 'Waiting Room' feature for group calls

You will now have control over who joins a group call and when. If you enable the 'Require approval to join' option while creating a call link, anyone joining via the link will first enter a 'Waiting Room.' They will only be able to join the call after you approve their request.

- HD video right from the start of the call

WhatsApp has also improved video call quality. With the new 'Quick HD' feature, you get HD video quality within seconds of starting a call, whereas previously, it took some time for the quality to improve.

- Clear audio even in noisy environments

If you are making a call from a crowded place or a noisy environment, the new 'Noise Suppression' feature will prove very useful. It will reduce background noise and transmit your voice more clearly to the person on the other end. You will also be able to toggle this feature on or off via the settings during a call if needed.
