This change is limited to the interface; it will not alter the way messages are sent, received, or replied to. Existing features like Message Reactions, Reply, and Forward will continue to function as usual.

**Layout of Photos, Videos, and GIFs to Change**

Following the update, photos, videos, and GIFs shared in WhatsApp chats will appear without the traditional message bubble border. Removing the border gives media content more space within the chat and distinguishes it from text messages. If a photo or video includes a caption, it may still appear below the content, just as before. The aim of this change is to make the chat interface cleaner and more visually appealing, ensuring the focus remains on the shared media.

**New Interface to Resemble Apple's 'Liquid Glass' Design**

For some time now, WhatsApp has been updating its iPhone app interface to align with Apple's 'Liquid Glass' design language. This design incorporates translucent controls, rounded interface elements, and new navigation components to keep the focus on the content. Although WhatsApp's new rounded message bubbles do not incorporate every element of the "Liquid Glass" aesthetic, the design bears a strong resemblance to Apple's new interface. WhatsApp has previously made changes to tabs, menus, and various other controls on iOS as well.

When will all users receive the update?

WhatsApp is rolling out this new design gradually; therefore, the feature may not be immediately available to all users, even after installing the latest app update. The company often tests features with a limited group of users via a server-side rollout before releasing them on a larger scale.

Users participating in the TestFlight program are likely to receive this design first. However, features present in the beta version are subject to change, postponement, or even complete removal.
