WhatsApp may introduce a new Incognito Mode for Meta AI chats in the future. This information has been obtained from a feature tracker. This function was recently spotted in development in a beta version and is said to be privacy-focused to ensure confidentiality. According to the information, this feature will be similar to Safari's Private Browsing and Google Chrome's Incognito Mode. It is currently in development and not yet available to beta testers.

Incognito Mode May Come to WhatsApp
WhatsApp features tracker WABetaInfo discovered that the instant messaging app is working on a new Incognito Mode feature for Meta AI. It was reportedly spotted in WhatsApp beta version 2.25.28.1 for Android. This feature will allow users to converse privately with the Meta AI chatbot, where the app will not record a history of their queries to maintain confidentiality.

This feature is expected to roll out in an upcoming update. Currently, data can be recorded for future reference when interacting with the Meta AI chatbot. According to WABetaInfo, after turning on Incognito Mode, Meta AI will not be able to use the data for training or personalizing the user experience. This will give users more control over their data and maintain privacy.

If a user exits the chat window with Incognito Mode on, their queries will automatically be deleted. This means users can easily ask questions and conduct research on sensitive topics without worrying about their data being misused.

According to a screenshot shared by the feature tracker, when a user turns on Incognito Mode on WhatsApp, the app will display a prompt warning them of "no personalization, no history, and no memory," meaning these will not be available for future chats. The button to enable it will appear in the options window, where users can now start a chat or view past chats.

Recently, a report suggested that WhatsApp is also testing a Meta AI voice chat mode. It was reportedly rolled out to some beta testers to flag bugs and issues in the WhatsApp beta 2.25.21.21 update for Android. It's said to offer a lot of flexibility and personalization options. According to reports, users will be able to initiate two-way voice chats with Meta AI right from the chat window by tapping the Meta icon.
