WhatsApp Update: Great news for iPhone users, now you can run two accounts from one WhatsApp, learn how..
WhatsApp has launched a new feature for iPhone users, making it easy to run multiple WhatsApp accounts on a single device. This update is available in the beta version of iOS and will soon reach all users. If you have separate personal and professional numbers, this will be a great option for you.
Easy Switching
In Settings, there will be a section called Account List, followed by a button next to the QR code icon, making it easy to switch accounts. Each account will have its own chat history, backups, and privacy settings. Importantly, when a message is received on another account, the notification will also indicate which account it is from.
Security Features
App lock (Face ID, passcode) will also be supported when switching accounts, ensuring security. This feature is currently being tested for a limited number of users. A wider rollout date has not yet been determined.
Why is this feature special?
Many iPhone users use two numbers (personal and work). Now, they will have less need for separate apps like WhatsApp Business. Switching will be seamless, and account settings won't mix. Each account will retain its own identity. This feature has been long-requested on iOS, and its arrival will give WhatsApp users more control and flexibility.
Note:
This is currently in beta. Not all users will have this feature on their phones. Adding an account will require a second phone number, and an app update and Test Flight installation may be necessary.
