WhatsApp Tips: Here are 3 ways to keep WhatsApp safe; make your account 'hack-proof' with these methods..
WhatsApp Safety Features: With the increase in scams, there's a constant fear that WhatsApp might get hacked someday. There are some ways to alleviate this fear and keep your WhatsApp account safe. If you follow these methods, your account can become hack-proof. However, note that simply following these methods won't make your account completely hack-proof.
While using the app, we often make some mistakes (like clicking on unknown links) which hackers exploit to gain control of our accounts. Today, we will tell you about the methods you can use to strengthen your account's security.
Two-Step Verification
For double security of your account, be sure to enable two-step verification. If you haven't enabled this feature yet, go to the app's settings, then to Account, and enable the two-step verification feature. If someone tries to log in to WhatsApp again using your mobile number, they will also need to enter the 6-digit PIN you created while enabling this feature. Without this PIN, no one else will be able to use your number to run WhatsApp on another phone.
Use Passkey
WhatsApp also offers a passkey feature, which you can enable to enhance your account's security. After enabling this feature, it will be difficult for any hacker to compromise your account. To enable this feature, go to the app's settings, then to the Account option, and click on Passkeys.
Silence Unknown Callers
Many incidents have come to light where people have received calls from international numbers on WhatsApp, followed by fraudulent activities. To avoid this, enable this feature in WhatsApp. Enabling this feature will prevent calls from unknown numbers from ringing on your phone. To enable this feature, go to Settings, then to the Privacy section, then to the Calls option, and tap on Silence Unknown Callers.
