WhatsApp Plus Service Launched: Will You Have to Pay for Messaging and Calling?
The WhatsApp Plus service has finally launched. Meta has introduced paid subscription features for WhatsApp, alongside Facebook and Instagram. Through its new plans, the company is offering users new and exclusive features that are not available in the free versions of these apps. Mark Zuckerberg's company has decided to segregate paid and free users across all three of its social media platforms. The paid service is specifically designed for users who utilize social media for content creation and business purposes. They will be granted access to advanced tools and customization options that will not be available to basic—or free—users.
Will You Have to Pay for Messaging and Calling?
Meta has clarified that the features currently available to free users of WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram will continue to be provided just as before. Users who choose not to subscribe to WhatsApp Plus will still retain access to messaging and calling facilities, exactly as they do now. Plus users, however, will receive advanced customization tools as well as several new features that are currently unavailable to free users.

To access WhatsApp Plus, users will need to pay $2.99 per month—approximately ₹290. This subscription will provide users with custom themes, unique ringtones, premium stickers, advanced chat list customization options, and the ability to pin a greater number of chats. Free users are currently limited to pinning only three chats.
Instagram Plus
Paid users of Instagram will be required to pay $3.99 per month—approximately ₹387. Users will gain access to advanced tools such as Story Rewatch Count, Secret Story Views, Unlimited Story Audience Lists, Story Spotlight, Custom App Icons, Super Heart Reactions, Bio Fonts, and Profile Pins.
Facebook Plus
Facebook Plus users will also be required to pay a monthly subscription fee of $3.99—approximately ₹387. Users will be provided with advanced profile customization and visibility tools, as well as all the exclusive features included in Instagram Plus.
