WhatsApp: Find out if someone has blocked you on WhatsApp using this trick; here is the complete method..
It isn't always easy to tell whether someone has blocked you on WhatsApp. Until now, most people relied on clues like a missing profile photo, seeing only a single tick on messages, or calls going unanswered. However, these methods aren't always reliable, as such signs can also result from changed privacy settings or other factors.
A new report now claims that WhatsApp's encryption verification feature can provide a more reliable indicator in this regard. Notably, you don't even need to send a message or make a call to the other person to use this method.
This feature was originally designed to verify whether your chat is secured with end-to-end encryption (E2EE). To use it, simply open a chat, tap on the contact's name, and select the encryption option.
WhatsApp will then automatically attempt to verify the chat's encryption status. According to the report, if the verification completes successfully, it indicates that the chat is functioning normally.
However, if WhatsApp repeatedly fails the automatic verification and suggests an alternative verification method, it could indicate that the other user has blocked you.
**No official method to detect blocking**
That said, this cannot be considered definitive proof of being blocked. WhatsApp has not officially stated that the encryption feature can be used to check for blocks; therefore, it should be viewed merely as a potential indicator.
Another advantage of this feature is that the other user receives no notification. This allows you to gauge the situation without sending a message or making a call.
It is worth noting that WhatsApp introduced the automatic encryption verification feature in 2023. Previously, users had to compare a 60-digit security code or scan a QR code to verify chat security. The new system has significantly simplified this entire process.
