The popular messaging app WhatsApp is testing a new and highly useful feature for its users. According to reports, the company is rolling out a Noise Cancellation feature to beta users, which will help reduce background noise during calls.

This feature was first spotted in March while it was still under development. It is now reported to be available to select Android beta users (version 2.26.14.1). The primary objective of this feature is to filter out traffic, wind, or ambient noise in real-time during video and voice calls, thereby improving call quality.

According to reports, this feature is located within the call menu and is enabled by default. This means it will automatically activate as soon as you initiate a call. However, if a user is not satisfied with the resulting audio quality, the feature can also be manually disabled.

**Clearer Audio**
Interestingly, even if the Noise Cancellation feature is enabled for only one user during a call, their voice will still sound significantly clearer to the other person. However, if both users utilize this feature, the overall call quality will be enhanced even further.

This feature is expected to prove particularly beneficial for individuals who travel frequently or who often make calls in noisy environments. However, Meta-owned WhatsApp has not yet clarified when this feature will be released to its entire user base.

This new Noise Cancellation feature from WhatsApp could prove to be a major step toward making the user's calling experience better than ever before.

In addition to this, WhatsApp is also working on several other new features. According to reports, the company is developing a dedicated app for Apple CarPlay. Furthermore, users can now easily locate and delete large files using the ‘Manage Storage’ option. Support for two accounts has also been added for iOS users.
