WhatsApp, owned by the social media company Meta, launched several new features on Tuesday. The most significant change is that users can now make audio and video calls directly from their web browsers without downloading the desktop app. The company stated that the aim of these new features is to make using WhatsApp across different devices even easier.

WhatsApp announced that users can now make both one-on-one and group calls from their browsers. Features include screen sharing, the ability to send reactions during calls, and a dedicated call tab to view call history and favorite contacts. This feature will be particularly beneficial for those who use shared computers, work on office laptops where app downloads are restricted, or simply prefer working directly from a browser.

**Call Transfer Facility**
WhatsApp has also introduced a call transfer feature. This allows users to seamlessly transfer an ongoing group call from their mobile to a computer or another device without disconnecting.

**Waiting Room Option for Group Calls**
To enhance the security of group calls, WhatsApp has added a "waiting room" feature. If the option requiring approval to join is selected when creating a call link, new participants will not join the call immediately. Instead, they will remain in a waiting room and can only join the call after the host approves their entry.

**Improved Video and Audio Quality**
WhatsApp announced the addition of a "QuickHD" feature, which ensures high-definition video quality as soon as a call begins. Additionally, a noise suppression feature will reduce background noise, ensuring clear audio even in crowded or noisy environments. WhatsApp stated that all these new features are being rolled out to users gradually.
