Know the Step-by-Step Process
1. First, visit the official UIDAI website at https://uidai.gov.in/.
2. On the website, click on the 'Update Aadhaar' option.
3. From there, download the 'Aadhaar Enrollment Form' and fill in the required details.
4. Now, submit the filled-out form at your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra (Service Center).
5. The official present at the center will verify the details you have provided and take a new photograph.
6. Additionally, your biometric information—such as fingerprints and iris scans—will also be captured at the center.
7. You will be required to pay a fee of ₹100 to update your Aadhaar photograph.
8. Once the process is complete, you will receive an Acknowledgement Slip containing a URN (Update Request Number).
9. Using this URN, you can easily track the update status of your Aadhaar card.
How Long Does It Take to Update an Aadhaar Card?
It may take at least 90 days for the new information to be updated on your Aadhaar card. Once the details have been updated, you can download your new Aadhaar card from the website.
