This Amazing Feature Could Soon Arrive on WhatsApp, Making Your Chatting Super Easy

If you use WhatsApp, there is good news for you: a new feature is coming soon that will make chatting even easier. With the help of this feature, you will be able to read and reply to messages without even opening the app. Let's find out more...

WhatsApp is now preparing to introduce a major and highly useful feature for Android users. According to reports from WABetaInfo, the company is working on ‘Notification Bubbles’ support, which could completely transform the way we chat. Google first introduced this feature on Android back in 2020, but until now, this functionality was not available on WhatsApp. With this new feature, users will be able to easily view and reply to their messages while using any other app, without having to constantly switch between applications.

How Will This Feature Work?

According to the report, this upcoming WhatsApp feature will display chats on the screen as small, floating bubbles. Whenever a new message arrives, a corresponding bubble will appear on the screen, which may also display the sender's profile picture. Users will be able to tap on that bubble to reply directly within a small chat window. This feature will be quite similar to Facebook Messenger's ‘Chat Heads’—a feature that users already love—though it is currently in the development stage and is not yet available in any beta version.

Will This Feature Make Multitasking Even Easier?

The goal of this new feature is to provide users with a superior multitasking experience. For instance, if you are watching a video or playing a game, you won't need to open WhatsApp whenever a new message arrives. You can respond instantly via the bubble and continue with your current activity. Additionally, users may also be given the option to disable this feature if they do not wish to use it. This will make the WhatsApp experience even more seamless and user-friendly.

Will This Feature Work on Every Phone, or Will It Be Limited to Certain Devices?

However, this feature will not work on all devices. According to the report, this feature will function optimally primarily on Android 11 and higher versions. On older Android versions, it may require permissions such as 'Draw Over Other Apps'; meanwhile, iPhone users will not receive this feature, as iOS does not support notification bubbles. It is expected that in an upcoming update, this feature will first be made available to beta users and subsequently rolled out gradually to everyone.
