If your phone's battery is draining quickly even with minimal use, you need to change some settings. Limiting background activity and changing settings like location tracking can significantly extend battery life.

In the last few years, Android smartphones have become more powerful and capable. They now come with larger displays, which require more power. As a result, companies have started offering larger battery packs and fast charging options, but even then, the battery needs to be charged frequently. If you are also facing this problem, some settings might be responsible. By changing them, you can extend your battery life.

Change these settings to save battery:

Restrict background activity: By default, many apps on your phone remain active in the background. Even if you are not using them, they continue to sync data with the server. This puts a load on the phone's battery, causing it to discharge quickly. You can turn off the background activity of some of these apps. To do this, go to Settings, then the Battery option, and tap on Restricted. Here you can turn off the background activity of unnecessary apps.

Turn off Always-On Display: Features like Always-On Display and high refresh rates look good, but they significantly impact battery life. With Always-On Display, the screen never completely turns off, which reduces battery life. If you don't need it, you can turn off Always-On Display and also switch to a lower refresh rate. This will extend battery life.

Turn off location tracking: Location services require the most power. Many apps request location access unnecessarily. When you allow an app to access your location, it tracks you using GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other sensors. This makes the battery work harder, causing it to discharge quickly. Therefore, you can turn off location tracking when it's not necessary.
