Tech Update: If jobs are lost due to AI, will UBI be a solution? know here...

AI tools are now working faster and more accurately than humans. This could threaten many types of jobs, including coding, teaching, customer support, and journalism. According to Goldman Sachs, AI could impact 300 million jobs worldwide, particularly in the marketing, finance, healthcare, and media sectors. This has raised questions about whether Universal Basic Income (UBI) could be a solution if jobs are lost in the AI era.
Tech leaders like Sam Altman and Elon Musk have advocated for UBI, calling it a solution to impending unemployment. UBI has been experimented with in Finland, Canada, and the United States. Initial results suggest it has increased financial security and reduced stress. To implement it on a larger scale, governments are working on digital currencies. This is a digital currency that can be controlled by the government. India has also launched a digital rupee (CBDC).
It is similar to the regular rupee, only in digital form. It can be used like cash. UBI isn't a completely new idea, but as AI and automation impact jobs across the country, it's likely to gain more traction.
