Phone Storage Saving Tips: If your phone's storage is full, there is no need to delete apps just to save space. You can free up storage by archiving apps and clearing their cached data.
Phone Storage Saving Tips: Storage issues are a persistent problem on smartphones. No matter how much storage capacity your phone has, it eventually fills up completely after some time. In such situations, aside from deleting photos, videos, and files, the only remaining option often seems to be deleting apps. However, there are times when you simply cannot delete your photos and videos. Consequently, most users resort to deleting apps to free up storage space. Today, we will share some methods that allow you to clear storage space without having to delete any of your apps.
Apps Will Archive Automatically
Archiving apps is a much better option than deleting them. This ensures that your progress within the app is not lost, and you won't have to re-download the app from scratch if you need to use it again later. To enable this feature, you simply need to toggle a specific setting within the Play Store. Once enabled, whenever your phone starts running low on storage, the system will automatically archive the apps you use least frequently.
How to Enable the Setting
To enable the automatic archiving of apps, open the Play Store. Next, tap on your profile icon located in the upper-right corner of the screen and navigate to 'Settings.' From there, tap on 'General' and toggle on the switch labeled 'Automatically archive apps.' Once enabled, apps will archive themselves automatically. To use an archived app again, you will need to re-download it. As soon as you open the app after re-downloading, your previous progress and data will be restored.
Clear Cached App Data
In addition to archiving apps, you can also save space by clearing the cached data associated with your apps. This can be a time-consuming process, as you will need to access the settings for each individual app to clear its cache data. Many smartphones feature a built-in tool that simplifies this process. However, if your phone does not offer this specific option, you can clear this data using third-party apps designed for system maintenance.
