Scam Alert: Every second person on the internet uses it, and it is facing a big threat, what should you do?

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a high-risk security alert for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers. According to the agency, vulnerabilities have been found in these browsers that hackers could exploit to run dangerous code on your computer or mobile device, steal personal information, or disrupt services.
CERT-In stated that older versions of Google Chrome (before 141.0.7390.54 for Linux and before 141.0.7390.54/55 for Windows/macOS) have several serious issues. These include buffer overflows in WebGPU and Video, information leaks in Storage and Tab, incorrect implementations in Media and Drumbox, and vulnerabilities in the V8 engine.
If a hacker exploits these vulnerabilities, they could run code on your system, bypass security, or steal personal information. All you need to do is visit a malicious website.
Mozilla Firefox Vulnerabilities
Mozilla Firefox is also vulnerable. This applies to older versions of Firefox (prior to 143.0.3 and iOS versions lower than 143.1). A vulnerability has been found in cookie storage security, a bug in Graphics Canvas2D, and an issue in the JavaScript engine. If a user interacts with a malicious web page, the attacker could execute code or steal sensitive data.
CERT-In has stated that this vulnerability is very serious. Therefore, update your browser to the latest version immediately. Google and Mozilla have released security patches. Updating your browser is the easiest and safest way to do so. Alternatively, you can view the patches and complete information on CERT-In's official website.
