Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra: Samsung may unveil its new foldable series at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event next month. Ahead of the launch, new information regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has surfaced. These phones will serve as the successors to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Alleged real-life photos and renders of both devices have leaked on social media, offering a glimpse of their designs. According to reports, Samsung may also launch its first "Wide Foldable" smartphone this time around. The company has not yet officially confirmed any of these devices.

**New Foldable Spotted in Real-Life Photo**
Tipster Ice Universe shared an image on X (formerly Twitter) that is being touted as a real-life photograph of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. It is claimed that a Samsung employee was spotted using the device at a restaurant. However, the phone was concealed within a special protective cover or camouflage skin to prevent its full design from being revealed. Despite this, the image clearly shows a dual rear camera setup housed within a pill-shaped camera module. An LED flash is also visible, situated beneath the camera unit. According to reports, this device could be Samsung's first "Wide Foldable" smartphone.

**Differences Expected Between Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Ultra Models**
Leaked renders showcase both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra side-by-side. Both smartphones appear in a blue color shade, though distinct differences in their design and dimensions are evident. The "Wide Foldable" model features a dual rear camera setup, whereas the other model is equipped with a triple rear camera unit. This camera system is also housed within a pill-shaped camera island. According to the renders, both devices may feature a centrally positioned selfie camera on their cover displays. This suggests that the company may be positioning these two phones to cater to different categories of users.

Speculation Mounts Over Potential Name Change
A recently surfaced report claims that Samsung may be planning to alter the branding for its upcoming foldable series. According to the report, the model previously referred to as the "Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide" could now be launched under the name "Galaxy Z Fold 8." Meanwhile, the current standard Fold model is likely to be introduced as the "Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra." The company already employs "Ultra" branding for its flagship laptops and Galaxy S-series smartphones. Consequently, it is believed that the "Ultra" designation may be adopted within the foldable series as well, serving to distinguish the premium model. As of now, the company has not officially confirmed these details.
