Redmi Pad 2 Pro vs Realme Pad 3: The tablet segment in India has heated up again, with the Realme Pad 3 and Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G going head-to-head. Both tablets were launched on January 6th. Both tablets come with large batteries, high-resolution displays, and the latest processors. The Realme Pad 3 features a 2.8K display and Android 16, while the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G focuses on 5G connectivity and a Snapdragon chipset. The question is, which tablet offers better value for money in terms of price and features?

Price: The Realme Pad 3 starts at ₹26,999 for the Wi-Fi variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Its 5G variant ranges from ₹29,999 to ₹31,999. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro, on the other hand, starts at ₹22,999, making it more affordable. The Redmi 5G variant starts at ₹25,999, with the top model priced at ₹27,999. In terms of price, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro is clearly the more budget-friendly option.

Display: The Realme Pad 3 features an 11.61-inch 2.8K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It's a high-quality LCD panel, not AMOLED, offering 500 nits of brightness and 96 percent NTSC color gamut. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro, on the other hand, boasts a larger 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. Thanks to its larger screen and certifications, the Redmi tablet has a slight edge in content viewing, while the Realme tablet is ahead in terms of sharpness. 

Processor: The Realme Pad 3 features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max processor, built on a 4nm process, which delivers good performance for daily use and multitasking. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. The Redmi tablet runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 and promises long-term OS and security updates. In terms of performance and long-term support, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro seems slightly more reliable.

Camera: The Realme Pad 3 has an 8-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, which are adequate for video calls and online meetings. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G also comes with an 8MP rear and 8MP front camera, supporting 1080p video recording. Both tablets are almost equal in terms of camera capabilities and are designed more for video calling than photography.

Battery: The Realme Pad 3 is equipped with a 12,200mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging and 6.5W reverse charging. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro, on the other hand, has a 12,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and 27W reverse charging support. Both offer excellent battery backup, but the Realme Pad 3 has an advantage in terms of fast charging.
