Preparations are underway to consolidate property tax services across the state's urban local bodies onto a single digital platform: the 'e-Nagar Seva' portal. Instead of the disparate systems currently used by various municipal bodies, a unified online system will be developed for property tax operations across the state.

Once the new system is implemented, property owners will no longer need to make repeated visits to municipal corporation or municipal council offices to access information regarding their property tax. Facilities such as property details, tax information, and payment options will be made available online through the portal.

**Online System for Everything from Mutation to Tax Payment**
The 'e-Nagar Seva' portal will not be limited merely to tax payments. Work is underway to integrate services such as property mutation (transfer of ownership records), tax assessment, and payments into this digital platform. This is expected to enhance transparency in the process and reduce inconvenience for the public.

**Elimination of Multiple Portals**
Currently, property tax systems and procedures operate differently across various urban local bodies. The objective of the new system is to bring all these processes onto a single platform. This will also facilitate the creation of a state-level digital record of properties and enable better monitoring of the tax system.

**Consolidation of Urban Local Body Services**
'e-Nagar Seva' is being developed as a comprehensive digital platform. In addition to property tax, efforts are being made to provide various other municipal services online, including birth and death certificates, trade licenses, and water and sewer connections.
