The 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will soon be released to farmers. If you haven't yet completed e-KYC, Aadhaar linking, or updated your bank details, you won't receive the 21st installment. If your name isn't on the PM-KISAN beneficiary list, be sure to complete these Aadhaar-related tasks immediately. You don't have to travel anywhere. You can update your e-KYC or Aadhaar details online from the comfort of your home. Here, we're explaining how to perform e-KYC online.

Why is e-KYC necessary?

Through e-KYC, the government ensures that installment funds are credited to farmers' bank accounts. Scammers often falsify farmers' data, preventing them from receiving their installment funds. To prevent this fraud and ensure that funds are transferred directly to farmers' accounts, e-KYC and Aadhaar linking have been made mandatory. Funds are transferred to farmers' accounts only when their records are consistent across all accounts. In such a situation, e-KYC is extremely important.

How to perform e-KYC for PM Kisan?
First, go to the government website pmkisan.gov.in.
Tap the e-KYC button on the right side of the homepage.
On the new page, enter your Aadhaar number and click Search.
You will now receive an OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Submitting this will complete your e-KYC.

How to perform e-KYC through a mobile app?
E-KYC for the PM Kisan Yojana can also be performed through the government app. To do this, install the PMKISAN GoI app from the Google Play Store. Here, you can complete e-KYC through face authentication. Enter your Aadhaar number and verify the OTP. After this, you can also perform KYC through a face scan.

How to perform e-KYC offline?
KYC for the PM Kisan Yojana can also be performed offline. To do this, you'll need to visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC). You can complete your KYC by undergoing biometric verification. You'll need to bring your Aadhaar card and bank passbook with you.
