Paytm has introduced a new feature called Gold Coins in this update, which will reward users with digital gold for every payment. This is the first time a payment app has integrated savings into transactions. Under this feature, deposited gold can later be converted into real digital gold. Company CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma stated that every Paytm payment will now become a golden payment. This innovation is a new way to encourage Indian users to save.
Features like Magic Paste, Smart Scanner
The new Paytm app also includes several practical features, such as Magic Paste, which auto-fills bank or IFSC details copied from WhatsApp. The Favorite Contacts feature allows users to save frequently used contacts. The Hide Payments option now allows users to maintain their privacy. The new Paytm scanner in the app can now recognize QR codes from any angle, automatically turns on the flashlight in low light, and supports a zoom-in feature.
Special Features for NRI Users and Professionals
The new Paytm app now supports Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) from 12 countries. They can make UPI payments in Indian Rupees by linking their international mobile number to an NRE or NRO bank account. Additionally, professionals such as doctors, gym trainers, or taxi drivers can now receive payments from their home screen using the Receive Money widget.
