Paytm has rolled out a new privacy-focused feature called Hide Payments, designed to give users more control over how their UPI transactions appear inside the app. With this update, users can now move selected transactions out of the main payment history and into a secure, hidden section. These payments are not deleted; they simply become invisible from the regular history and can be viewed again whenever needed.
This makes Paytm the first UPI app in the country to offer such a privacy-enhancing option.

The Hide Payments feature allows users to remove specific transactions from the standard ‘Balance & History’ screen and shift them into a protected area of the app. These hidden transactions stay stored safely and can be accessed again with PIN or biometric authentication.

How to Hide a Transaction in Paytm
Hiding a transaction is simple and can be done in a few steps:

Open Balance & History in the Paytm app.

Swipe left on the transaction.

Tap Hide.

Once this is done, the chosen transaction disappears from the main history and is moved to the secure hidden section.
How to View or Unhide Hidden Transactions
If you want to restore or review any hidden payment, follow these steps:

Go to Balance & History.

Tap the three-dot menu in the top corner.

Select View Hidden Payments.

Verify your identity with your phone PIN or biometric lock.

The hidden list will appear.

To unhide a payment, swipe left on it and select Unhide.
The transaction will immediately reappear in the regular payment history.
