How to check PAN-Aadhaar link status

If you want to avoid the hassle of logging in, you need to go to the Income Tax e-filing portal.
Now you will find the Quick Links section on the right side.
Scroll down here. Then click on "View Link Aadhaar Status".
Here you will have to enter your PAN and Aadhaar number. After that, click on the View Link Aadhaar Status option.
As soon as you do this, you will see one of three messages. These messages will be "Your PAN is already linked", "Linking request sent to UIDAI", and "PAN not linked". If the first message is displayed, then Aadhaar is linked to PAN. If the second message is displayed, your request has reached UIDAI. However, if the third message appears, your PAN is not linked to Aadhaar. 

How to check via SMS
If you don't have internet access, you can also check the PAN-Aadhaar linking status via SMS. To do this, open the messaging app on your phone. Then type UIDPAN (12-digit Aadhaar number) (10-digit PAN number). Send it to 567678 or 56161. You will receive a confirmation via SMS immediately.
