Finnish health technology company Oura launched its first smart ring in India—the Oura Ring 4—on Tuesday. Designed to be worn on the finger, this device provides a comprehensive overview of your health status. This wearable first entered the global market approximately two years ago, and the brand is now making its foray into India's health and fitness wearable sector. Much like its global counterpart, this smart ring focuses on health tracking, sleep analysis, and recovery-related insights. It operates in conjunction with the Oura App and supports Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) connectivity. Equipped with smart sensing technology, the ring claims to deliver highly accurate and personalized data.

Oura Ring 4: Price and Availability
The Oura Ring 4 is priced starting at ₹28,900 for the Black and Silver variants. Meanwhile, premium color options—such as Brushed Silver, Rose Gold, and Stealth—are priced up to ₹39,900. The smart ring is available in 12 different sizes, allowing every user to order a size that ensures a perfect fit. Starting March 18, the device will be available for purchase online as well as at approximately 100 Croma stores across the country. The company also offers a monthly subscription plan priced at ₹599, which provides users with access to deeper health insights.

Smart Sensing Technology
The standout feature of the Oura Ring 4 is its smart sensing technology, which utilizes advanced algorithms and research-grade sensors to deliver highly precise data. The company asserts that the accuracy of this technology has been validated by institutions such as the University of Tokyo and the National University of Singapore. By interpreting various physiological signals from the user's body, this technology generates personalized health reports. Comprehensive Data on Heart Health, Sleep, and Activity
The smart ring features an 18-path multi-wavelength PPG system that continuously tracks biometric data. It measures various parameters such as resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep stages, body temperature, and oxygen levels. During the night, it also tracks blood oxygen levels and respiratory rate with the help of red and infrared LEDs. Additionally, it features an accelerometer and a temperature sensor, which monitor your daily activities and physiological changes.

Design, Battery, and User Experience
The Oura Ring 4 is crafted from lightweight yet robust titanium material, making it both comfortable to wear and durable. It is water-resistant up to 100 meters, meaning it can be worn effortlessly during daily activities. The ring weighs between just 3.3 and 5.2 grams, ensuring it does not feel heavy on the finger. As for the battery, it claims to last up to 8 days on a single charge, taking between 20 and 80 minutes to fully recharge. It connects with the Oura App to provide the user with a comprehensive health report.
