Rajasthan Ration Card: There's significant relief for families covered by the National Food Security Scheme (NFSA) in Rajasthan. Now, there's no need to visit offices to add missing family members to the ration card. The Rajasthan government has launched an online facility, allowing any eligible family to apply from the comfort of their homes. Let's find out how:

How to Apply?
The application is available on the Rajasthan government's official portal, rrcc.rajasthan.gov.in. This facility is especially beneficial for families whose members haven't yet been added to the ration card, preventing them from taking full advantage of the scheme.

The online application process has been kept simple. When applying, families will need to enter basic information, such as their Aadhaar card, ration card, and, if the member has an LPG connection, their LPG ID. This will ensure accurate information is available to the government and transparency is maintained within the scheme.

After submitting the application, it will be verified by the relevant officials. The new member's name will be added to the ration card only after approval from the District Logistics Officer, Development Officer, and Executive Officer. This entire process has been made secure and systematic to prevent any irregularities.

e-KYC will be mandatory
An important point is that e-KYC will be mandatory for the member within 90 days of the name being added. This will verify the member's identity and eligibility. Failure to do so within the stipulated time may result in difficulties in availing the benefits of the scheme.

This means that families now simply need to log in to the portal, enter the required information, and submit the application. After approval and e-KYC, the new member will also be able to receive ration and other benefits.
