Google has launched its new experimental app, Dreambeans, in India. Through this app, users will receive daily, AI-generated stories tailored to their personal preferences. Notably, users do not need to perform repeated searches or ask specific questions to access this content.

The app creates personalized stories by drawing information from various Google services, including Gmail, Google Photos, Calendar, Search, Gemini, and YouTube. According to the company, Dreambeans is available to users aged 18 and older and can be downloaded on both Android and iOS platforms.

What is the Google Dreambeans app, and how does it work?
Dreambeans is an experimental app developed under Google Labs, designed to provide users with information relevant to their interests and needs. While people typically have to scroll through social media feeds or search the internet to discover new information, Dreambeans automatically curates and presents fresh, personalized stories for users every day.

The app pulls data from the Google accounts and services selected by the user—such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Photos, Google Search, Gemini, and YouTube. Based on this information, Dreambeans generates stories aligned with the user's specific interests and daily requirements.

For instance, the app might suggest travel destinations you are interested in, provide updates on arts and crafts, highlight local events, or offer reminders for upcoming tasks. Users can open these stories to explore further details, save them for later, or share them with others. Additionally, users can provide feedback within the app, which helps Google refine and improve the stories.

The app can also transform images into videos using AI.
Dreambeans includes another notable feature: it allows for the animation of images featured in select stories. To achieve this, Google utilizes its 'Veo' AI video generation model. Consequently, in certain stories, users will see movement instead of static images.

Google Dreambeans is available in 14 languages.
Google has made Dreambeans available in India for users aged 18 and older. It can be downloaded on both Android and iOS devices. The app supports a total of 14 languages, including English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, and Nepali. However, users can select only one language at a time to create their stories.
