Now, buy phones alongside your app downloads! A new feature arrives on the Google Play Store.

You can now view smartphones and other devices on the Google Play Store, right alongside apps. Google has introduced a new "Shop devices" feature in India. Find out where to locate this feature and how it works.

Until now, the Google Play Store was primarily associated with downloading or updating mobile apps; however, it now also serves as a gateway for purchasing phones. Google has added a "Shop devices" feature to the Play Store, allowing users to browse the company’s hardware products and proceed with purchases.

This feature is available in select markets, including India. Currently, it showcases devices such as Google Pixel phones and select Samsung models. It is important to note that payments are not processed directly within the Play Store; instead, once a product is selected, the user is redirected to the Google Store to complete the purchase.

Where can you find the "Shop devices" feature in the Google Play Store?

The new "Shop devices" feature can be found within the Play Store’s account switcher menu. Users can tap on this option to view a list of available devices. Selecting a product opens the Google Store, where users can review product details, choose from available configurations, and complete the payment. At present, products are listed at their standard retail prices, with no special discounts currently being offered.

Will Google expand this feature further?

Google’s support page also mentions the ability to purchase hardware via the Play Store. According to the page, certain eligible Google and Samsung products available on the Google Store may appear in the Play Store. However, the company has not yet clarified whether additional products will be added to the "Shop devices" section in the future. This feature provides users with the option to browse Google’s hardware alongside apps, though they must visit the Google Store to finalize any purchases.

Which devices are listed in India?

In India, several Google products have been included under the "Shop devices" section. These include the Pixel 10a, Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 5, and Pixel Buds Pro 2. The Pixel 10a is listed with a starting price of ₹55,999, while the Pixel 11 has a starting price of ₹89,999. Meanwhile, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at ₹1,86,999. According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra also appear in this category in some other markets; however, the list of available products varies by region.
