No more hassle of searching for messages repeatedly in WhatsApp groups? New update brings 4 fantastic features..

WhatsApp is making group chats easier to navigate for its users. The company has announced four new features and updates designed to help new members quickly get up to speed with ongoing conversations, while also making it simpler for existing users to locate important messages. Recently, WhatsApp also introduced a 'Guest Calls' feature, which allows individuals without an account to join calls.

**Pin messages permanently**
In this new update, users will have the option to pin important messages in group chats permanently. Previously, messages could only be pinned for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Currently, a group can have up to four pinned messages at a time. With this new feature, users will be able to keep messages pinned indefinitely.

**New members can view past conversations**
Often, when a new member joins a group, they struggle to catch up on previous discussions. To address this, WhatsApp is introducing a feature that allows past chat messages to be shared with new members. Group admins or managers can share recent messages by tapping on the name of the newly added member. According to the company, these messages will remain end-to-end encrypted. This ensures that chat history can be shared with those who were not part of the conversation from the beginning.

**Easier to find messages where you are mentioned**
Users can now easily locate messages in group chats where they have been mentioned by using a 'mentions' filter. Selecting this filter will display all messages in which the user has been tagged.

**Share status updates within groups**
WhatsApp is also introducing an option to share status updates specifically with group members. These status updates will be visible only to members of the selected group and will automatically disappear after 24 hours. Group members will be able to react to these updates and share their own status updates as well.
