New WhatsApp Subscription Plan: Until now, WhatsApp has been known as a messaging platform that requires no fees to use. Features such as calling, chatting, status updates, and file sharing have all been available for free. However, Meta has now introduced a new option for users who want to use WhatsApp in a more personalized and unique way. The company has started rolling out the new WhatsApp Plus subscription plan for Android and iOS users in India. This is WhatsApp's first official paid plan, offering users several exclusive customization features. Let’s take a look at the features included in this new subscription option.
How much does the WhatsApp Plus subscription cost?
In India, the WhatsApp Plus subscription is priced at ₹79 per month; however, new users are initially offered a one-month free trial. This allows users to try the service before deciding whether to continue with the subscription. The plan is entirely optional; those who do not wish to subscribe can continue using all of WhatsApp's basic features for free, just as before.
What is WhatsApp Plus?
WhatsApp Plus can be described as a customization pack. This plan does not alter the app's core features but instead provides extra options to make WhatsApp more personalized. It allows users to change the app's appearance, use new icons, pin additional chats, and utilize exclusive ringtones and stickers.
New color themes and app icons included
WhatsApp Plus offers users 18 new color themes. These include a variety of colors such as Vibrant Blue, Royal Purple, Forest Green, Fuchsia Pink, Deep Navy, Teal, Burgundy, and Golden Yellow. Additionally, there is an option to change the default WhatsApp icon; users can choose from 14 different app icon designs. Some of these designs feature a minimalist style, while others offer a more creative and artistic look.
Pin up to 20 chats
A major feature of WhatsApp Plus is the increased limit for pinning chats. While standard WhatsApp allows only a limited number of chats to be pinned to the top, users with the Plus subscription can keep up to 20 important chats at the very top of their chat list. This feature is particularly useful for those who need quick and easy access to multiple important chats for work or personal reasons. Subscribers also get access to 10 special ringtones, including options like Flutter, Ripple, Meadow, Carnival, Tempo, Bubble, and Quest. Furthermore, premium sticker packs are provided that are not available to standard users; these stickers allow users to make their chatting experience more exciting.
