New Filter Coming to WhatsApp: Business Chats to Appear in One Place
WhatsApp currently features distinct sections for chats, making it easier to locate specific conversations. A new filter is now set to be added to this system, which will consolidate all business-related chats into a single, dedicated location.
WhatsApp is poised to introduce a new filter soon to enhance the convenience of its messaging platform. This feature will simplify the process of searching for and managing business-related conversations on the app. This information comes courtesy of a report by WABetaInfo—a site known for tracking upcoming features on WhatsApp—whose predictions regarding new features are accurate 99 percent of the time.
WhatsApp Business Chats Filter
According to the report, the Android 2.26.14.1 beta update for WhatsApp is now available on the Google Play Store, and it is through this update that details regarding the business chat filter have emerged. This feature will segregate business chats from standard conversations, allowing users to access their business-related interactions with ease.

As illustrated by the screenshots included in the post, a “Business Chats” option appears at the very top of the WhatsApp chat list. Tapping on this option will display all conversations conducted with your business accounts. The primary benefit of this feature is that you will no longer need to manually scroll through your entire chat list to locate business-related conversations; accessing these chats will become significantly more efficient.
Currently, WhatsApp does not offer a centralized location for grouping business chats. To read these conversations, users typically have to either manually scour their entire chat list or create a custom list—a process that is both time-consuming and tedious. Furthermore, whenever a user wishes to communicate with a new business account, they must manually add it to their custom list. However, with the introduction of this new filter, such manual steps will become obsolete; users will simply need to tap on the “Business” option to view all their business-related chats consolidated in one place.
Feature Currently Under Development
The report indicates that WhatsApp’s business filter is currently in the development phase. Work on this feature is ongoing, and it is speculated that the filter will be released to Android users in the coming days. Following its release on Android, support for this filter is expected to be extended to iPhone users as well.
