New Feature Coming for WhatsApp Channel Admins: Track Which Posts Are Hits
A new feature is coming to WhatsApp Channels that will allow admins to see how many users have viewed a specific post. Additionally, plans are underway to introduce a public view count, enabling followers to see how many times a post has been viewed.
WhatsApp is set to launch a new feature for channel admins soon. This tool will allow them to see the number of users who have viewed their updates, with the count displayed within the message bubble. This will help admins understand which posts are performing well and how to engage more viewers.
According to a Wabetainfo report, the private view count feature was discovered in the WhatsApp Android beta update version 22.3.24.15. This feature will allow admins to track how many users have viewed their posts, making it easier to identify which content resonates with the audience and which does not. It will also simplify the process of creating content strategies to grow their follower base.
Feature Rolled Out to These Users
The report further states that WhatsApp's private view count feature has been rolled out to Android and iPhone beta users. With this feature, the view count will be visible within the message bubble.

How to View the View Count?
The view count feature has been integrated into WhatsApp Channels. When admins share a post, they will see the view count, allowing them to gauge which content is most popular. However, followers will not be able to see these view counts. This function will operate similarly on both Android and iOS platforms.
Work Underway on This Feature
In addition to the private view count, WhatsApp is also working on a public view count feature. This feature will function similarly to the private count. This feature will allow followers to see how many times a post has been viewed. Currently, it is still in the development phase, and testing has not yet begun. It is expected to be rolled out to all beta testers in the coming days.
When will the private view count be released?
WhatsApp has not yet provided details regarding the launch of the upcoming private view count feature for Channels; however, according to reports, the feature could be rolled out to all stable users by the end of August or early September.
