WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a new feature for Android users soon, which could completely transform the way people chat. According to reports, the company is working on a "Notification Bubbles" feature that will allow users to reply to messages without even opening the app. This feature is currently in the development stage and is not yet available for testing; however, it is expected to be introduced in upcoming updates.

**Chat Bubbles Will Float on the Screen**

According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature will display chats on the screen as floating icons—or "bubbles." Whenever a new message arrives, a small bubble will appear on the screen; by tapping on it, users can open a compact chat window and reply instantly. This feature will be quite similar to Facebook Messenger's "Chat Heads," where conversations remain easily accessible on the screen at all times.

**Multitasking Becomes Easier**

The biggest advantage of the Notification Bubbles feature is that it will allow users to chat while using any other app. This means there will be no need to constantly switch between applications. This feature will be particularly useful for individuals who frequently multitask. The bubble may display the sender's profile picture along with the WhatsApp icon. Additionally, users will have the option to disable this feature if they choose to do so.

**Available Exclusively for Android Users**

This feature will be available solely for Android users, as the iOS operating system does not support notification bubbles. Notably, this feature will be built upon Android's native notification system. However, it may not be available on all Android devices. According to reports, it is expected to function optimally on Android 11 and newer versions. Devices running older Android versions may require additional permissions to utilize this feature.

**Update Expected Soon**

Currently, this feature is still under development and has not yet been included in any beta version of the app. It is anticipated that the feature will first be rolled out to a select group of Android beta testers, followed by a gradual release to the entire user base.
