Airtel has introduced three new prepaid recharge plans focused on calling and SMS. These plans offer unlimited calling and 300 SMS. Read on to learn about the validity and benefits of each plan.

Nowadays, when recharging a mobile number, the need for internet data is often the primary consideration. However, for many users, a mobile phone is not necessarily about browsing the internet, watching videos, or using social media. For some, the primary purpose of a phone is simply to make calls and send messages. Users—especially those with feature phones—often require recharge options that provide calling and SMS facilities without including mobile data.

Keeping such users in mind, Airtel has launched three new prepaid recharge plans, priced at ₹185, ₹203, and ₹206. All three plans include unlimited voice calling and 300 SMS, though they do not provide any mobile internet data. These plans are now listed on the Airtel website.

New plans introduced following TRAI directives

Airtel has introduced these plans in response to new directives from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). Last month, TRAI issued the 'Telecom Consumer Protection (Thirteenth Amendment) Regulations, 2026,' which mandate that telecom companies offer special tariff vouchers—focused exclusively on voice and SMS—with a validity of 30 days or less. The objective of this directive is to provide recharge options for mobile users who do not require data-inclusive packs for their calling and messaging needs. Airtel has launched these new plans in compliance with these guidelines.

What do Airtel’s new plans offer?

Airtel’s three new recharge plans are designed for users who primarily require connectivity for voice calls and sending SMS messages. These plans include local, STD, and roaming calling facilities. Additionally, users get complimentary access to HelloTunes for the duration of the plan's validity. All three plans include 300 SMS, but they do not provide any separate mobile data for internet usage.

Rs 185 plan with 28 days of validity

Airtel’s Rs 185 recharge plan comes with a validity of 28 days. It offers users unlimited local, STD, and roaming calling, along with 300 SMS. The plan also includes access to HelloTunes. No mobile data benefit is provided with this plan.

Rs 203 plan with 30 days of validity

The Rs 203 plan comes with a validity of 30 days. It includes unlimited voice calling, 300 SMS, and access to HelloTunes for the duration of the offer. This recharge also does not include any mobile data.

Rs 206 plan with one month of validity

Airtel’s Rs 206 recharge plan offers a validity of one month. A key feature of this plan is that users can recharge again on the same calendar date of the following month. It includes unlimited calling, 300 SMS, and access to HelloTunes. This plan also does not provide any mobile data.
