Train ticket bookings for Diwali and Chhath have already commenced, yet many people are struggling to secure tickets. If you are unable to book a ticket to travel home, there is no need to worry; an app allows you to book your ticket the moment bookings open. We are not referring to IRCTC Rail Connect here, but rather to RailOne. However, there are a few things you should keep in mind.

The Railways allows ticket booking up to two months in advance, meaning the booking window for Diwali and Chhath is already open. However, due to heavy traffic, many people are unable to book tickets. RailOne offers an easy way to book tickets, provided you utilize features like the 'Master List' and the wallet facility.

**RailOne: A 'Super App'**
RailOne is known as a "super app" because it consolidates various railway services onto a single platform. You can use it to book reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets; check train running status and PNR details; view coach positions; order food; and access other railway services. It is designed as a one-stop platform for most daily railway-related needs.

You can book tickets up to 60 days in advance, with bookings starting at 8:00 AM. Every second counts during the booking process; as soon as the window opens, thousands of passengers log in simultaneously. Consequently, those who quickly complete passenger details and payment have a better chance of securing a confirmed ticket.

**Leverage the Master List and Wallet Features**
Both RailOne and IRCTC Rail Connect offer a 'Master List' feature, allowing passengers to save details like names, ages, and dates of birth in advance and fill them in with a single click. Payment speed can also make a significant difference. During a rushed booking, precious seconds can be lost entering card details, waiting for an OTP, or being redirected to the bank's payment page. RailOne offers an in-built wallet that allows users with sufficient balance to complete payments with a single click, bypassing these extra steps.

This in-built wallet feature is not available on the IRCTC Rail Connect app. Consequently, depending on the payment method, completing a booking via IRCTC can take an additional 10–15 seconds. When seats can vanish in mere seconds, that extra time can make a significant difference.

Adding a 'Master List' on RailOne is very easy. First, log in to the app using your existing IRCTC account. Next, navigate to the profile section, where you will see the Master List feature right at the top. Enter the details of the passengers who wish to travel, and then add the ticket amount to your wallet. This way, as soon as you start the booking process, you will have the option to add passengers directly from the Master List, saving you a considerable amount of time. Furthermore, by selecting the wallet as your payment method, you avoid being redirected to third-party payment apps, significantly increasing your chances of securing a confirmed train ticket.
