Building on the success of TikTok and Reels, Meta has introduced a new experience to the world of social media and technology. The company has launched a new feed called "Vibes" on its AI app and Meta.ai, allowing users to create and share short-form, AI-generated videos. It's similar to TikTok or Instagram Reels, but every video featured here is entirely AI-generated.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared the launch of Vibes on Instagram, showcasing AI-generated videos. These videos include fuzzy creatures jumping on cubes, a cat pawing at playdough, and an ancient Egyptian woman taking a selfie on a balcony. According to Meta, this feed will feature AI-generated videos from both users and content creators. Over time, Meta's algorithm will begin to show videos based on personal preferences.

In Vibes, users can create videos from scratch or remix videos they've seen in the feed. You can add new visuals, music, and adjust the style before publishing the video. The video can then be posted directly to the Vibes feed, sent via Direct Message, or shared to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels.

Meta's Chief AI Officer, Alexander Wang, explained that the company partnered with AI image generators Midjourney and Black Forest Labs for the initial version of Vibes, while Meta continues to develop its AI models. However, users are not enthusiastic about this new feed. Many in the comments called it unnecessary.

This move clearly indicates Meta is delving further into AI technology. In June, the company reorganized its AI efforts, establishing "Meta Super Intelligent Labs" and dividing the AI department into four groups: Foundation Models, Research, Product Integration, and Infrastructure. With the launch of Vibes, it's clear that Meta is investing more in AI, but user feedback remains to be seen, whether this new feed will become popular in the social media world.
