Is your YouTube feed boring? Here's how to fix it and get back to watching videos you actually like, clearing out the clutter.
YouTube has billions of videos, but sometimes the platform starts showing videos you don't like. In such a situation, you can easily reset your feed.
When you open YouTube, so many videos appear that it's sometimes difficult to decide which one to watch. It recommends videos based on your preferences, but sometimes these recommendations become boring. Opening YouTube repeatedly can lead to seeing the same types of videos. If your YouTube feed has become like this, you can use a few methods to get back to watching videos you enjoy.
How to improve your YouTube feed:
Clear your YouTube watch history - When you start watching the same type of content, YouTube starts recommending it more. To avoid this, you can delete your YouTube watch history, which will bring new videos to your feed.
Reset your likes - YouTube pushes similar content to your feed based on the videos you like or dislike. If you've liked a certain type of video, more videos of that type will appear in your feed. To reset this, open the YouTube app and go to the You tab. From there, you can remove likes from the videos in the list.
The "Not interested" option will help - If you're getting recommendations for a channel or video that you don't like, you can use the "Not interested" option. To do this, tap on the three-dot menu next to the video title and select "Not interested."
Incognito mode - Like web browsers, YouTube also offers an incognito mode. If you don't want to receive similar recommendations after watching a video, you can use this mode. To use it, open the YouTube app and go to the You tab. You will see the Incognito mode option above the History section.
