iQOO Z11: Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset to debut in India; phone launching on August 20..
iQOO continues to introduce new options in the smartphone market through its Z series. Now, the company is set to launch the iQOO Z11 in India. While the official launch is scheduled for August 20, the company has already revealed the device's standout feature. According to iQOO, the Z11 will be India's first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset.
The company claims that the new chipset will deliver superior performance across AI-driven features, multitasking, and resource-intensive tasks. Previously, the iQOO Z11 Lite and iQOO Z11x from the same series have already been introduced to the market.
What makes the Dimensity 7500 Turbo special?
The Dimensity 7500 Turbo powering the iQOO Z11 is an octa-core chipset built on 4nm technology. It incorporates the MediaTek NPU 850, which enhances on-device generative AI capabilities.
According to the company, the chipset's AI performance is more than double that of the previous generation. iQOO also claims that the Z11 has achieved a score exceeding 1.2 million (12 lakh) on AnTuTu benchmarks. The company positions it as a higher-performing chipset compared to the Dimensity 7400 and Dimensity 7300.
A fresh design approach
iQOO has already teased the phone's design. The Z11 will be available in Aurora Green and Celestial Blue colorways. The rear features a new 'Skyline Camera Module,' which includes a horizontal pill-shaped housing, two large camera rings, an additional sensor, and a circular LED ring light. The device is expected to sport a curved back, a quad-curved display, and ultra-slim bezels.
Could Feature a 144Hz OLED Display
According to leaks, the iQOO Z11 might come with a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display supporting a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is also expected to pack a powerful battery, likely ranging between 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh, accompanied by 90W fast charging support.
Camera and Other Features to Stand Out
For photography, the phone is expected to feature a 50MP OIS main camera and a 32MP front camera. Additionally, it may include an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 and IP69 ratings, and up to 12GB of RAM.
Overall, the iQOO Z11 is poised to compete directly with smartphones from Redmi, Motorola, and Realme in the mid-premium segment. A large OLED display, massive battery, the new Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset, and AI features could make it an interesting choice in this category. However, full details regarding its price and other key specifications will only be revealed after the launch on August 20.
