iPhone Hacks: There are many ways to lock iPhones. Features like Face ID, fingerprint, and PIN codes are available. However, these can become a problem when you forget your password. If you're using an iPhone, forgetting your password can be a major hassle. Repeatedly entering the wrong password can lock your iPhone for several days. If you recently changed your password and forgot it, you can unlock your phone with the old password within 72 hours. To do this, you need to put your phone into recovery mode. While recovery mode can restore your phone, it deletes all data on the phone. It's crucial to back up your data before putting your phone into recovery mode. Without a backup, you could lose your photos, messages, and other important information. Let's learn the complete process of unlocking your phone.

Recovery Mode Harms
Entering recovery mode erases all data on your phone, so it's crucial to regularly back up your iPhone. If you save your data to iCloud, a computer, or an external drive, you can restore it once your phone is unlocked.

How to enter Recovery Mode?
There are two ways to enter Recovery Mode. You can connect your iPhone to a computer. You'll need a USB cable to do this. If you use Windows, open the Apple Devices app. If you have a Mac running macOS Catalina or newer, use Finder. If your Mac is older, use iTunes. After connecting to the computer, you'll need to press different buttons depending on your iPhone model.

How to enter Recovery Mode on older iPhones
For iPhone 8 and later, press and release the Volume Up button, then press and release the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Side button.
For iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, press and hold the Top or Side button and the Volume Down button simultaneously.
For iPhone 6s, iPhone SE, and earlier models, press and hold the Home button and the top or side button simultaneously.

Another method for iOS 17 and later
If you're using iOS 17 or newer, you have another easy method.
This doesn't require connecting your phone to a computer.
Entering the wrong password will display "iPhone Unavailable" on the screen.
Select the "Forgot Passcode?" option.
Then tap "Start iPhone Reset."
Next, sign out of your Apple account password, erase the device, and then restore it from your backup.

How to update or restore from a computer?

When your iPhone enters recovery mode, a prompt will appear in the Finder, iTunes, or Apple Devices app on your computer, stating that there's a problem.
Here, you have two options: Update and Restore. Selecting Update will reinstall your iOS, but your data won't be deleted.
If this process takes more than 15 minutes or fails, you'll need to restart it.
Choosing Restore will erase all your phone's data and reinstall the system.
Once your iPhone is back to factory settings, you can set it up again and restore all your information from your backup.
