US President Donald Trump has highly praised chip manufacturer Intel. Intel recently launched an advanced semiconductor product that was entirely manufactured in the United States. Trump called it a major achievement for American industry and hailed it as a victory for his administration's aggressive trade and manufacturing policies.

"Fantastic Meeting" with Intel CEO
In a social media post, President Trump said he had a "fantastic meeting" with Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan. He praised the company's technological advancements and commitment to domestic manufacturing. Trump stated that Intel has launched the first "sub-2 nanometer" CPU processor, which was entirely designed, manufactured, and packaged in the United States.

Government Earns Billions
Trump also clarified that the US government is a shareholder in Intel. He claimed that through this stake, the government has earned more than ten billion dollars for the American people in just four months. Trump said, "The US government is proud to be a shareholder in Intel... We made a great deal, and so did Intel." He added that his administration is determined to bring chip manufacturing back to the United States, and this achievement is a step in that direction.

Intel CEO Expresses Gratitude
Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan also expressed his gratitude for the support received from the US leadership. He said that Intel is now shipping its latest "Core Ultra Series 3" CPU processors, which are manufactured in the US using the most advanced technology.

Trump's Stance on India and Tariff Policy
President Trump linked these developments to his tariff policies. In his second term, Trump has taken aggressive steps to promote domestic manufacturing, including imposing tariffs on other countries. Trump has imposed tariffs on major exporting countries like India and China. According to reports, Trump has imposed a 50 percent tariff on Indian goods entering the US starting in August 2025.

 Major Claim on the Economy
Citing recent economic data, Trump claimed that tariffs have strengthened the U.S. economy and improved national security. He stated that the U.S. has recorded its lowest trade deficit since 2009 and projected GDP growth to remain above 5 percent. Trump directly attributed these results to his tariff policies and urged the Supreme Court to consider these "historic achievements" before making its decision.
