This gives users control over which tagged photos or posts appear alongside their own content. The feature can be used to showcase group photos, collaborations with creators, or pictures capturing special memories on the profile.

Three ways to add posts
Instagram has provided three methods to add tagged posts to the main profile grid. When tagged in a post, users can add it to the profile grid directly from the notification received. Additionally, the option is available within the three-dot menu on the tagged post itself. Users can also add a post to their main profile grid by long-pressing it within the tagged section. By default, new posts will appear on the profile grid in reverse chronological order.

Tagged posts can be removed later
If a user wishes to remove a tagged post from their main profile later, they can do so. Removing a post from the main grid does not affect the original post, nor does it remove it from the tagged section. For users who have customized their profile grid layout, adding a new post will not automatically reset the existing layout. While the feature is rolling out globally, Instagram has not specified a timeline for when it will reach every account.
