Are you also a user of the social media platform Instagram? If so, the company has introduced a new ‘Instants’ feature just for you. The company has launched this new feature to make photo sharing among friends faster and easier than ever before. According to the company, users will now be able to share photos directly via the Instagram Inbox without the need for extensive editing.

**A Snapchat-like Experience**
Beyond just the feature, Meta has also launched a separate ‘Instants’ app in select countries, which will be available on both Android and iOS platforms. It is said that this feature will offer an experience quite similar to Snapchat; however, it will also incorporate Instagram’s existing privacy and safety features, making it truly unique.

**What is the Instant Feature, and How Does It Work?**
Essentially, the Instants feature appears in the bottom-right corner of the Instagram Inbox following the update. From here, users can instantly snap a photo and send it to their ‘Close Friends’ or ‘Mutual Followers.’ A key highlight is that photos cannot be edited *after* being shared; however, users do have the option to add a caption before sending the photo.

Additionally, the shared image will appear as a stack in the recipient's inbox and will automatically disappear once viewed. Users will also be able to react to or reply to these photos.

**What Features Are Included?**
Meta states that photos sent via Instagram will be saved in a private archive for up to one year. Users will subsequently be able to create ‘Recap Stories’ using these archived photos. Furthermore, an ‘Undo’ option will be available immediately after sending a photo, allowing you to retract the image if needed.
